Cabinet Refinishing

Our cabinet painting process starts with removing all cabinet doors, drawers, hinges and hardware. We then separate and remove the draw faces from the drawers. Removing the drawer faces is a step that many other painters skip.

We paint both the fronts and backs of the drawer faces, even though only a small area of the back of the drawer faces will ever be seen. We feel that the end result is worth the effort. This type of attention to detail is what sets us apart.

CLEAN, DEGREASE, & SAND
Next, we perform a thorough cleaning and degreasing of all surfaces, followed next by sanding. These steps help to assure that the primer coat adheres and is the base for the perfect finish coat.

REPLACE & UPGRADE HARDWARE
The next step is to fill any holes or divots. It is here that we would fill any old holes from knobs or pulls if you are changing hardware and will require a different hole pattern.

APPLY THE PRIMER
We then apply a minimum of two coats of primer. After the primer has been applied and has dried, all of the surfaces are once again sanded until the surface is perfectly smooth and ready for the finish coat.

APPLY FINAL COATS
The final step is to apply two coats of paint.
